pyles peak

Posted on May 11th, 2008 by Sara : investigator Sara
i think i found the emptiest place in the city of san diego.  after muddling through my french final exam, i decided to reward myself by hiking up cowles mtn, and then continuing on to pyles peak.  while i love to see so many people out enjoying nature, anyone who is from san diego has to admit that cowles mtn is something of an anthill.  secret: after you reach the rest of the crowds celebrating their success at reaching the summit, follow the signs for pyles peak.  the trail is pretty much empty and after less than a mile and a half you find yourself on top of a wee little flower covered mountain.  really quite peaceful.  i sunned myself like a lizard on a rock and enjoyed the sensation of being a mile away from anybody.

bananas

Wow!  I've never written a blog before.  A blog sounds like something I don't want to do, like finding myself sprawled headfirst in a mud puddle.  Oh well.  Back to business!  I"ve been working on a series of lithographs lately about bananas.  Have you ever investigated the banana?  Fascinating creature, really.  Bananas have been responsible for the fall of governments in central and south america, and are used by some creationists as proof of god's existence.  If you also find this interesting, look up the book review titled "Banana, fate of the fruit that changed the world."  Also search "bananas and creationism" on youtube.  If you read this blog, pass on something strange for me to investigate!
